The Team

Our team includes professional photographers who have had experience at the very top level of photography. They are passionate about sharing their background, knowledge and experience with young people who are enthusiastic about photography. All of our team are fully CRB checked and insured. They will ensure your child has fun in a safe environment.

Suzie Hammerton
Course Director

Suzie has 20 years experience as an award winning international photojournalist. She has worked for Press Association, Reuters and The Times for 10 years and covered major news stories around the world. She is passionate about her work with Shutterbug Kids, her excitement for photography is passed on to the children at each workshop. She has three children.

 
Sarah Adams
Course Assistant

Sarah was brought up in Cornwall and has an amazing passion for wildlife, nature, water and all things beautiful. She has four years experience running children’s parties and managing a soft play centre. Sarah also has three children. Her management and leadership skills are unprecedented as she was Customer Service Manager for 300 branches for Lloyds TSB. During these ten years she mentored and coached hundreds of new and young recruits.

 
Nick Ray
Creative advisor

Nick has been a photographer for fifteen years as a photojournalist for The Times based in London, but covering assignments all over the world including the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan, humanitarian work in Africa and the aftermath of the tsunami in Indonesia.

He also shoots a lot of portraits, mainly for newspapers and magazines. Subjects have included Hollywood celebrities, business leaders and world statesmen. A series of his portraits of notable Members of Parliament now forms part of the Parliamentary Art Collection.

Nick is married and has one child.
